For seniors who desire an apartment-style option, RiverWoods also offers independent living at the RidgeCrest Apartments. This three-story complex offers apartments ranging in size from 700 to 1200 square feet.
For those who are in need of additional care, RiverWoods also offers personal care and nursing care. The personal care option is for those residents who are independent, but require some assistance in their care. Nursing care is available for residents who require 24-hour care for Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s).

There are many activities available to residents of RiverWoods and the list keeps growing. The heated indoor swimming pool offers the opportunity for a relaxing swim as well as water aerobics classes. Working out in the fitness center and fitness classes are also popular choices, as is using the outdoor LifeTrail stations. Our Wellness Director can tailor a fitness program to fit any residents' needs. Many residents enjoy Studio 35, where classes in computers, cooking, stained glass, basket weaving, paper cutting and other arts are offered. Often the products from these classes are sold in the Gift Shops or used to decorate the campus. We also host classes through Bucknell University's Life Long Learning program.
Our residents come from a variety of personal and professional backgrounds and many residents volunteer their expertise by teaching classes, giving tours of the Slifer House Museum, working with our Meals On Wheels program, or serving on the RiverWoods Advisory Committee or Residents' Council Board.
